MULTI-FAMILY
HOUSING

Multi-Family Housing Printed in just nine Weeks

In Illertissen, a multi-family residential building with five apartments and around 430 m² of living space was constructed using an integrated digital building process.

From the first printed section to the enclosed structural shell, the building was realized in just nine weeks. The structural concrete walls were produced directly on site using the mobile INSTATIQ P1.

From Wall Printing to an Integrated Construction Process

The project in Illertissen demonstrates that the greatest productivity potential goes beyond automating wall production. The entire construction sequence can be coordinated around the digital process.

Window and installation systems can be integrated directly after – and in some cases during – printing. Wall surfaces are also prepared specifically for subsequent trades such as plastering and insulation.

The result is a tightly coordinated workflow from printed walls to installed windows and roof structure, enabling an enclosed structural shell within nine weeks.

Illertissen therefore represents an important step from 3D concrete printing as an individual production process toward digitally integrated construction.
