NELCON has officially launched – marking a major milestone for industrial 3D concrete printing in the construction industry.
Since December 1, 2025, the joint venture founded by ZÜBLIN and INSTATIQ has been fully operational. NELCON’s mission is to bring 3D concrete printing from the pilot phase into mainstream construction – as a strong partner for building with 3D concrete printing that is scalable, economical, and reliable.

Successfully implemented: 3D concrete printing in multi-storey residential construction
Right from the start, NELCON has demonstrated the potential of industrial 3D concrete printing:
In Metzingen, the fourth floor of a residential building was successfully printed directly on site – at a height of 12 meters, fully automated and without formwork.
The project used standard concrete from a conventional mixer, making integration into existing construction processes particularly cost-efficient. The results clearly demonstrate the practical viability of the technology:
Significantly reduced construction times through automated production
Lower material and resource consumption
Substantially reduced CO₂ emissions
High process reliability and predictability, even in times of skilled labor shortages
