To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Material Engineer (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible.
As a Material Engineer, you will not only develop new concrete mix designs in collaboration with our partners but also build and advance the material platform for industrial 3D concrete printing.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop printable concrete mix designs in close collaboration with external concrete manufacturers, admixture suppliers, and raw material suppliers
- Analyze material data and derive measures to continuously improve print quality, process stability, and material performance
- Scale concrete mix designs from laboratory development to industrial production, ensuring consistent material quality
- Define material requirements and coordinate technical specifications with admixture, cement, and raw material suppliers
- Support our 3D concrete printing projects with material-related expertise and provide hands-on troubleshooting on construction sites
- Develop quality standards, testing methods, and approval processes for fresh and hardened concrete
- Build and continuously develop a scalable material platform for international projects and partners
- Contribute to technical approvals, standardization activities, and technical documentation
Your Profile
- A university degree in Construction Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable qualification, such as in concrete technology
- Several years of hands-on experience in the development or optimization of concrete, ideally in the ready-mix concrete or precast industry
- A highly structured and data-driven approach to your work
- Strong expertise in concrete technology, particularly fresh concrete properties, rheology, admixtures, and material optimization
- Experience working with concrete plants, concrete producers, or construction material manufacturers
- Sound knowledge of relevant concrete standards and quality requirements
- A strong drive to systematically solve technical challenges and develop innovative material solutions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide technical guidance to external partners
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
